Ultimate Movie Night Low sugar Sweet and Salty Popcorn

This is our healthy take on the classic Sweet and Salty popcorn that is all too often loaded with sugar! Instead, we sweeten this ultimate Movie Night snack with Chicory Root syrup, meaning the sugar content is super low, plus there’s no sugar spike and crash - because its deliciously Low Glycemic Index.

INGREDIENTS

●      80g popped popcorn

●      Sea salt for seasoning

●      40g Homespun Chicory Root Syrup

●      40g coconut oil or butter, melted

method

Preheat your oven 180C (350F).

  1. Place popcorn into a large bowl.

  2. Season with salt if using homemade popcorn

  3. Whisk together Chicory Root Syrup and melted coconut oil or butter.

  4. Pour over the popcorn and toss well to coat

  5. Lay popcorn on a baking paper lined baking tray in a single layer.

  6. Bake for 5 minutes. Toss and bake for 5 - 10 minutes more; until golden!

  7. Allow to cool on the tray.

  8. Store in a sealed container for up to 3 days.
